the basis of exercise for arthritis
Typically exercise is NOT contraindicated for those with arthritis in the joints. Yet many avoid exercise when having arthritic symptoms.
WHY?
It is painful when moving the joints, particularly the knees. Then how is it that exercise is GOOD for the arthritic joints? Well...the joints require anti-inflammatory materials in order to deplete the effects of 'arthritic symptoms'. Exercise promotes this, at least appropriately prescribed movement, within pain free ranges. This is the key when accessing a person(s) whom are skilled and knowledgeable about degenerating affects of arthritic change and how the joint best moves. Strengthening the joint is very important to reducing future arthritis advancement and effecting other joints.
